GUANGZHOU, Feb. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- Guangdong Province, south China, was ranked the first in the country by the budget revenue of the local public finance last year.
Information given by the provincial statistical bureau said that the province notched 180.6 billion yuan (about 22.27 billion U.S. dollars) in the budget revenue in 2005, accounting for 12.1 percent of the nation's total.
The per capita gross domestic product (GDP) in Guangdong was 23,616 yuan (about 2,912 U.S. dollars) last year, a rise of 84.7 percent from 2000. Enditem |
