RAMALLAH, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- Chief Palestinian negotiator SaebErekat on Saturday demanded Europe and the United States to respect the Palestinians' democratic choice, calling on the international community to have basics to cooperate with it.

    Erekat told the Voice of Palestine radio that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will start consultations with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in all fields following the group's victory in the Palestinian parliamentary elections.

    The new cabinet is demanded to admit by the international legitimacy as it will be part of the international community's necessities, he stressed.

    He also urged Hamas brothers to accept an international legitimacy, an agreement with the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and an Arab peace initiative.

    The whole world knows the agreements of the International Legitimacy, and the UN Security Council and the whole world also head towards solving the Palestinian questions, Erekat highlighted.

    Erekat said that Hamas has its own program that must go with the peace process and the International Legitimacy agreements, stressing that any cabinet has to be held on this domain and the Hamas program must has a determined goal. Enditem
