"Friends" reunion: "It's all rumor"
www.chinaview.cn 2006-01-25 08:12:48

BEIJING, Jan. 25 -- Reports that the comedy "Friends" is to be revived have been denied by the show's producers.

According to stories on the Internet, the six stars of the hit sitcom have agreed to multimillion dollar deals to reprise their roles for four one-hour specials.

¡¡¡¡Supposedly in a secret meeting before Christmas, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry agreed to a US$5-million-a-piece deal with NBC bosses in Los Angeles.

But NBC Universal chief Jeff Zucker said Monday there is not "one ounce of truth" to widespread reports of a multimillion-dollar "Friends¡±"reunion.

"Friends" ended its 10-year run in May 2004 but remains popular in reruns.
