BEIJING, Jan. 21 -- The British Academy of Film and Television Awards nominations were announced on Thursday and Zhang Ziyi is included in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category.     

    Overall, Memoirs of a Geisha received six nominations, the others being for music, cinematography, production design, costume design, and makeup.

    This is Ziyi's third British Academy of Film and Television Awards nomination, having previously been nommed last year for Best Actress for House of Flying Daggers, and for Supporting Actress in 2001 for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
