BEIJING, Jan. 20 -- Young Hong Kong director, Pang Ho Cheng's latest film "Isabelle" will be in competition at this year's Berlin International Film Festival, which runs for two weeks in February.

Isabelle enters Berlinale lineup

The film will compete in all categories, including Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress.

Since his film You Shoot, I Shoot, Pang Ho Cheng 's unique filming style has drawn wide attention and critical acclaim within Hong Kong film industry.

The director says this new film differs from the blackly humorous style of his former movies, instead he has sought to express the simple and natural feeling of human beings.

The story tells of a father and daughter's reunion after several years separation.

The movie is slated to hit cinemas in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland at the end of April.

With 23 confirmed of the total 26 films which will compete for the Berlin International Film Festival's Gold and Silver Bear awards, festival selection is nearly complete. The Berlinale is the most important international film festival after Cannes and Venice. กก
