WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Two workers are missing in a fire that erupted in a coal mine in West Virginia late Thursday, two weeks after a fatal explosion at another coal mine in the state killed 12 miners, local media reported.

The fire at the Aracoma Coal Co. in Mellville, southern West Virginia, reportedly started on a conveyer belt that moved coal to the surface.

Rescue workers have rushed to the site of the accident.

On Jan. 2, 12 coal miners were killed in a blast in a West Virginia coal mine and the only survivor of the accident is still in hospital. Enditem
