Sharon opens eyes first time: website

    JERUSALEM, Jan. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Ariel Sharon opened his eyes for the first time since he was hospitalized on Jan. 4 for a massive stroke and brain bleeding, an Israeli website said on Monday.

    The Yediot Ahronot paper reported on its website the movement of the Israeli prime minister, who has remained in a medically induced coma for nearly two weeks.

    However, the report has not been confirmed by Jerusalem's Hadassah Hospital treating Sharon. Enditem
