www.chinaview.cn 2006-01-14 11:21:03

People line up to buy tickets in the North Railway Station of Shenyang in northeast China's Liaoning Province, Jan. 13, 2006. The 40-day-long traditional spring festival travel season in China will start on January 14 and end on February 22, during which an estimated 144 million persons will travel by train, averaging 3.6 million per day.

Passengers, mostly migrant workers and university students, prepare to board their train home at Nanjing Railway Station, East China's Jiangsu Province, one day before 'Chun Yun,' January 13, 2006. 'Chun Yun' means travelling during the traditional Chinese Spring Festival. These people are returning home to celebrate the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year that starts on January 29, 2006.
