Urgent: Annan says Iran still interested in nuclear talks with EU

    UNITED NATIONS, Jan. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- Iran remains interested in "serious and constructive negotiations" with the European Union over its nuclear program, as long as the talks don't go on too long, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said on Thursday.

    Annan made the remarks after a 40-minute telephone conversation with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani. Enditem
