JERUSALEM, Jan. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Doctors treating Prime Minister Ariel Sharon have decided to rouse Sharon out of a medically induced coma on Monday, Channel One TV reported.
A team of doctors at Hadassah Hospital made the decision after there was no change in Sharon's condition overnight, said the report.
Doctors said they would gradually reduce the dosage of the drug that has been keeping Sharon in sedation in the past five days.
A new brain CT scan of Sharon showed that there was slight improvement in his condition, which remains critical but stable.
Sharon has been in coma since Wednesday night after he suffered a massive stroke and cerebral bleeding. Enditem |
