BEIJING, Jan. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- The "Pictured Biography of Zhou Enlai" has been published in memory of the 30th anniversary of the death of the late Chinese leader.
Zhou Enlai (1898 -- Jan. 8, 1976) was a great Marxist, a leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and State, one of the founders of the People's Liberation Army, and great proletarian revolutionary, statesman, military strategist and diplomat.
Zhou's glorious life, brilliant achievements for the liberation of the Chinese people and the cause of socialism, as well as his lofty spirit and personality, stand like a towering monument in the history of the nation and are deeply engraved in the memories of the people of all ethic groups in China.
The "Pictured Biography of Zhou Enlai" has a hardback edition, which contains more than 1,000 pictures, and a paperbound edition containing more than 600 pictures. The photos were selected from among approximately 10,000 historical pictures.
Many precious historical documents, scripts of Zhou Enlai and articles of authors featuring Zhou's glorious life are also included in the book.
The book is compiled by the Party Literature Research Center ofthe CPC Central Committee and the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, and is published by the Sichuan Provincial Publishing Group Incorporation and Sichuan People's Publishing House. Enditem |
