AMMAN, Jan. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- The British embassy in Jordan on Saturday announced its shutdown until further notice and sent out caution of new terrorist attacks on Westerners.

The embassy website warned, "Terrorists may be in the final stages of planning attacks against Westerners and places frequented by Westerners."

The website also admonished that those planning to travel to Jordan "should take sensible precautions for your personal security arrangements," while it acknowledged that most visits are "trouble-free."

Last November, three suicide bombers launched attacks on some luxury hotels in Amman, leaving 60 deaths and almost 100 people injured. Enditem
