Ministry: China to increase aid to Africa
www.chinaview.cn 2006-01-07 14:40:17

BEIJING, Jan.7 -- The Chinese government will continue to increase aid to Africa and strengthen human resources cooperation with Africa in 2006.

China's Ministry of Commerce says the country will expand its trade with Africa and continue the no-tariff policy on part of the imports to China from the least developed nations in Africa.

The ministry says China will also follow through on its pledge to train 100,000 personnel in various sectors for Africa in the 2004 to 2006 period, with more than 3800 trained in 2005.

Sources say trade between China and Africa is expected to exceed 37 billion US dollars, about forty percent higher than the year before.
