DHAKA, Jan. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Bangladesh Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members arrested a suicide squad member from the banned Islamic outfit Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) Thursday night, local newspaper The Independent reported here Friday.

RAB also recovered a huge quantity of arms, explosives and dices for manufacturing bomb and grenades from a den of the JMB in the capital city Dhaka.

Acting on a tip off, RAB unearthed a hideout from where they recovered over 10 kgs explosives of different kinds, chemicals, 10 firearms and 34 detonators, the newspaper said, adding that the seized arms include 300 bullets, five country-made pistols and five country-made revolvers.

JMB created the most surprising Aug. 17 serial bomb attacks last year, in which the militants exploded about 500 bombs in Dhaka as well as 63 out of total 64 district towns in the country, killing three people and injuring over 150 others.

The JMB hit the country for the second time in October in three district courts killing two people and wounding many including two judges. Enditem
