BAGHDAD, Jan. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- Two Iraqi policemen were killed in clashes between insurgents and security forces in western Baghdad on Monday, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.
"Fierce clashes erupted in Ghazaliyah district between masked armed men and security forces, killing two policemen, according to initial police reports," the source said on condition of anonymity.
The clashes is continuing at the moment, according to the source.
Insurgents often attack Iraqi security forces in Baghdad and other Iraqi cities, accusing them of collaborating with the U.S. occupation forces. Enditem |
