BAGHDAD, Jan. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- A suicide car bomb struck a police bus in Baquba, some 65 km northeast of Baghdad, on Monday, killing five police recruits and wounding five others, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.

"A suicide car bomber drove his explosive packed car into a bus carrying police recruits heading from Baquba to the Kurdish city of Sulaimaniyah for training," the source said.

Five recruits were killed and five others wounded in the blast, which also damaged four civilian cars, he said.

Insurgents often attack Iraqi security forces, accusing them of collaborating with the US occupation forces. Enditem
