Tax revenue hits record 3 trillion yuan in 2005

    BEIJING, Jan. 1 (Xinhuanet) -- China's total tax revenues reacheda record high of 3.0866 trillion yuan (385.8 billion US dollars) in 2005, an increase of 20 percent, or 514.8 billion yuan, year-on-year.

    The figure, excluding Customs duties and agricultural tax, was revealed by a report posted on the website of the State Administration of Taxation (SAT) on Sunday.

    This is the first time that the nation's tax revenues exceeded 3 trillion yuan, the report said. Enditem
