(Photo: Xinhua/AFP) | GAZA, Dec. 30 (Xinhuanet) -- Three Britons, a woman and her parents were released on Friday night, after they had been abducted by Palestinian militants in southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday, Palestinian security sources and eyewitnesses said.
The sources said that the three Britons were released at
23:10 pm (2110 GMT) Friday night after Palestinian mediators managed to help in
releasing them.
Kate Burton, a 25-year-old woman humanitarian aid
worker, and her parents are in a good health, added the sources.
They said that the three abducted Britons were
brought first to the Khan Younis police headquarters in southern Gaza Strip and
then they were accompanied by the police forces to one of the hotels in the Gaza
City.

forced them to get into their car, which drove away.
No one claimed responsibility, while all militants
groups denounced the abduction as Burton is a human rights activist, works as a
volunteer at al-Mizan Human Rights Organization in the Gaza Strip.
The action of kidnapping the three Britons was widely
condemned by Palestinian militants, the Palestinian National Authority
(PNA)officials, international organizations and PNA security chiefs.
"Kidnapping foreigners who are showing solidarity
with our people that suffer from the Israeli occupation repression is badly
damaging our image before the international public opinion," said Hani Al-Dayya,
a Palestinian from Gaza. Enditem
