RAMALLAH, Dec. 31 (Xinhuanet) -- Israeli army stormed and took over on Saturday the headquarters of the Palestinian military intelligence headquarters in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, Palestinian security sources said.

The sources said that Israeli soldiers forced all Palestinian officers to leave the headquarters and arrested one officer. Eyewitnesses said they heard shootings inside the building and that a number of Israeli military tanks and armored vehicles besieged the headquarters and turned it into an Israeli military barrack.

Meanwhile, Israeli troops also stormed several neighborhoods in Jenin and parts of the Jenin refugee camp, claiming that they were searching for wanted Palestinian militants.

Elsewhere, Israeli troops arrested seven Palestinians in the West bank city of Nablus in an early Saturday raid on the city, Palestinian security sources said.

In addition, curfew imposed by Israeli forces on the West Bank city of Tulkarem continues on Saturday for the third consecutive day since a deadly suicide bomb attack killed one Israeli soldier and wounded four others on Thursday. Enditem
