S.Korean unification minister resigns

    SEOUL, Dec. 30 (Xinhuanet) -- South Korea's Unification Minister Chung Dong-young officially submitted his resignation to President Roh Moo-hyun on Friday.

    Chung said he tendered his resignation to Roh earlier in the day, reported South Korean Yonhap News Agency.

    Earlier this week, the unification minister already expressed his intention to quit the Cabinet to return to the ruling Uri Party. Enditem
