US judge delays trials of former Enron executives

    NEW YORK, Dec. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- The US judge overseeing the trial of former top Enron Corp. executives Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling on Wednesday delayed the start of their trial to Jan. 30 from Jan. 17after the company's former chief accountant pleaded guilty to securities fraud.

    Richard Causey had been scheduled to face trial with Lay and Skilling next month but now is likely to cooperate with federal prosecutors, local media reported. Enditem
