Former land minister sentenced to life imprisonment

    BEIJING, Dec. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Tian Fengshan, former Minister of Land and Resources, was sentenced to life imprisonment on Tuesday and deprived of his political rights for life for accepting bribes worth 4.36 million yuan (538,270 U.S. dollars.)

    The Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People's Court handed down the verdict in the first instance. Enditem
