JERUSALEM, Dec. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is scheduled to preside over a weekly cabinet meeting later Sunday in a show of vigor after recovering from a mild stroke.

His office said Sharon will meet the cabinet ministers later Sunday after returning to a full work schedule because of his recovery from the illness.

Doctors said Sharon's blood pressure and cholesterol levels are normal despite the fact he is overweight.

Sharon was rushed to the hospital on Dec. 18 after he briefly lost consciousness as he suffered a mild stroke, which doctors said caused no permanent damage.

In order to make clear about the premier's health on the eve of national elections, Sharon, his advisers and his doctors have decided to let the physicians to hold an unprecedented press conference on Monday.

"We will present all the information that needs to be presented," Dr. Segev said on Saturday, adding "there is nothing to hide."   Sharon will turn 78 in late February, and he is running for a four-year term, at the very least.  Enditem
