Azerbaijani passenger plane reported missing after takeoff

    MOSCOW, Dec. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- An Azerbaijani Airlines passenger plane went missing after taking off from Baku on a flight to Aktauon Friday night, a Baku airport source said.

    Preliminary information showed the An-140 plane, which took off from the capital Baku with 60 passengers onboard, went down on the Caspian Sea coastline or into the sea, the Itar-Tass news agency reported.

    The search for the plane has begun, Itar-Tass said. Enditem
