LONDON, Dec. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- A student allegedly involved in the abortive London terror attacks on July 21 has been remanded in custody in the British capital.

The 23-year-old Adel Yahya from north London is accused of conspiring with others on or before July 21 to cause explosions that are likely to endanger life or cause serious injury to property, Sky news reported on Friday.

Yahya was arrested early Tuesday morning after he arrived at London Gatwick airport on a flight from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and became the 43rd person detained in connection with British police's investigations into the bombing attempts.

Five men have been charged with plotting to murder passengers on London's transport network two weeks after the July 7 bombings which left 52 dead, and 700 injured.

Yahya was remanded in custody at Bow Street Magistrates' Court in central London until January 6 when he will appear at the Old Bailey Criminal Court. Enditem
