CANBERRA, Dec. 20 (Xinhuanet) -- An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale rocked the Pacific seabed between the island groups of Micronesia and Guam on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey Web site said.
According to the US Geological Survey, the quake, which occurred 6 km below the seabed, was centered 425 km southwest of Yap in Micronesia and 435 km west-southwest of Hagatna, Guam.
No injures or damage have been reported so far and there was no tsunami warning issued by the Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii. Enditem |
