8 killed in swimming pool accident in Russia

    MOSCOW, Dec. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- At least eight people were killed, more than ten others injured in a swimming pool collapse in Chusovoi, a town near the city of Perm in the Ural mountains in Russia, the press service of the Emergency Situations Ministry said on Sunday.

    The tragedy occurred when the roof of a swimming pool in Chusovoi collapsed, the Emergency Situations Ministry said.

    Among the dead were two children. Besides, two are in critical conditions, and another two are still missing.

    Earlier reports indicated that there are four children among the injured.
