Fatah armed wing threatens to attack Israel
www.chinaview.cn 2005-12-04 20:46:27

GAZA, Dec. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- The ruling Fatah's armed wing al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades said Sunday that it will carry out attacks on Israel if the Israel army continues to attack the group.

"The brigades will hit in Israeli heart if Israel continues to violate a truce and shed Palestinians' blood," the group said in a statement.

Firing homemade rockets by the group came after the Israeli army killed two Palestinians in the Gaza Strip Friday night and Saturday, the statement said.

The group's spokesman Abu Ghareeb renewed commitment to calmness, but he said, "We have the right to respond to any Israeli violation."

On Saturday, Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz threatened to intensify attacks on Palestinian armed groups in the Gaza Strip following Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel. Enditem
