    ASTANA, Dec. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Kazakhstan's presidential election started at 7:00 a.m. (0100 GMT in the east and 0200 GMT in the west) Sunday.

    Polls were to close at 8:00 p.m. (1400 GMT in the east and 1500GMT in the west). Some 8.6 million people were eligible to vote. Enditem
