    Beijing, Dec. 1 -- Britney Spears has reportedly sent pop rival Christina Aguilera a self-help guide to marriage.

    The attractive star bought the blonde singer - who recently tied the knot with her fianc¨¦ Jordan Bratman - a tome entitled How To Stay Happily Married, according to Britain's Daily Star newspaper.

    Christina, who first met Britney when the pair starred on the "Mickey Mouse Club" as children, even sent the "Toxic" singer a gift basket to prove her change of heart.

    She revealed: "I sent Britney a gift basket, and she phoned me to say thanks."

    Christina admitted the pair have a lot of catching up to do, and said she still can't believe Britney has a baby, Sean Preston, and is married to former dancer Kevin Federline.

    "I still can't believe Brit has had a baby! It's weird, you've known this person since she was a girl and now she's doing all these grown up things. It's been quite a journey for both of us. We've just ended up at different places in our lives." she said.

    The pair first fell out in 2003, after Christina reportedly got up close and personal with Britney's ex Justin Timberlake at the Brit Awards. The two pop beauties then embarked on a bitter war of words. 

    Christina desperate to have kids

    Newlyweds Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman will start a family after the singer finishes her next world tour.

    Aguilera is desperate to have kids as soon as she can take a break from her busy schedule.

    "We definitely, definitely want to have children. I think we will probably start trying when we wrap up my next world tour and I'm very very excited about that", she says.
