DHAKA, Nov. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- At least seven persons were killed and about 60 others wounded in two bomb blasts apparently by suicide bombers of the Islamist militants in Bangladesh's southeastern Chittagong and Gazipur near Dhaka Tuesday morning, police and television channels said.

¡¡¡¡Police officer preferring anonymity in northern Gazipur, 35 km from the capital, said the bomb exploded at the at Gazipur Bar Library compound in the district court at about 9:45 am (GMT 3:45 am), killing four lawyers on the spot and injuring 40.

    The police officer said limbs of another four lawyers were blown up, but the police could not confirm if they died immediately.

    He said all the injured lawyers have been sent to capital Dhakafor treatment.

    Local private television channel Ntv said, of the four dead, one might be the suicide bomber because body of one of the dead were wrapped up with wire of bombs.

    In Chittagong, the second largest city of this South Asian country, the bomb exploded near a police check post in front of the court campus, which killed two police personnel and injured 15others. One of the dead in Chittagong were assumed to be the suicide bomber.

    The television channel said the bomb exploded just at 9:00 am (GMT 3 am). The injured police personnel have been taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for treatment. Enditem
