BEIJING, Nov. 29 -- Chinese fans were too excited to scream as Katie Holmes appeared at the set of Tom Cruise's action movie "Mission Impossible III" in Xitang, a popular tourist town in east China's Zhejiang Province.

Katie Holmes showed up on Sunday when Tom Cruise was on his final day of the four-day shooting schedule mission at the water-town.

Katie and Tom were crowded by hundreds of Chinese moviegoers who were asking for their signatures and taking pictures.

Cruise will then continue filming in downtown Shanghai later this week and the cast members will also find a view in other Chinese cities.

The third installment of the action-adventure series, which is a remake of a popular 1960s TV show, is set for release in 2006.
