Minbus falls into reservior, leaving 7 dead

    LANZHOU, Nov. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- Seven passengers got killed when aminibus fell into a reservoir in northwestern China's Gansu Province on Saturday morning, local police said.

    The tragedy occurred around 9:30 a.m. Saturday when a minibus with 33 passengers aboard fell off a wharf of Liujiaxia reservoir that was located in Linxia County, leaving seven people drowned.

    Twenty-four people were rescued and two others have been hospitalized and are in serious condition, said the police.

    Primary investigation ascribed the accident to abrupt brake failure, and a further probe into the cause of the accident is underway. Enditem
