China to keep Russia informed on Songhua River pollution

    BEIJING, Nov. 24 (Xinhuanet) -- China will keep Russia informed on the conditions of Songhua River pollution after the polluted water passes Harbin, said a Chinese environment official here Thursday.

    "The two sides are making specific arrangements for opening a hotline for the matter," said Zhang Lijun, deputy director of the State Environmental Protection Administration, at a press conference. Enditem
