GENEVA, Nov. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Swiss food maker
Nestle said on Tuesday that it had recalled more than two million liters of baby
milk reportedly found to be contaminated with ink from four European markets.
The contaminated milk had been recalled from Italy, Spain,
France and Portugal, said a Nestle spokesman.
Most of the milk is in Italy, where about 30 million
liters were seized after tests showed some of it had been contaminated, but the
spokesman said the traces found posed no risk to health.
In June, Nestle made an apology to Chinese consumers
after one of its baby milk powder formulas was found to contain iodine higher
than China's national standard. Enditem
