Kylie Minogue to hold homecoming tour
www.chinaview.cn 2005-11-22 11:20:06

BEIJING, Nov. 22-- Australian pop star Kylie Minogue will hold her homecoming tour at the end of 2006 after the trip was cancelled when Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.

On Sunday, her Australian tour promoter, The Frontier Touring Company, announced the tour would be held late in 2006.

The London-based 37-year-old singer cancelled her Showgirl: The Greatest Hits tour days before it was due to start in May after she was found to have breast cancer. She also scrapped the rest of her world tour.

Kylie underwent surgery in a Melbourne hospital to remove the cancer and has been having chemotherapy in Paris.

Kylie, who has had 37 hit singles in the UK, has sold 40 million singles and 25 million albums during her career.

Kylie will on December 25 release a digital single featuring a live version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "Santa Baby." Early next month, the artist's Web site will also begin selling eight live audio tracks and three video clips drawn from the DVD "Kylie: Showgirl -- The Greatest Hits Tour."
