Helicopter collision kills 1 pilot in US

    WASHINGTON, Nov. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- One pilot was killed when two helicopters collided Sunday night at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, in the southeastern US state of Florida, local media reported Monday.

    The accident occurred when one helicopter was taking off while another was attempting to land, after the NASCAR championship, local authorities said.

    One of choppers made a hard landing after the collision and itspilot was not injured, but the pilot of the other helicopter died after being airlifted a local hospital, the reports said. Enditem
