GAZA, Nov. 20 (Xinhuanet) -- The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) Sunday called on the international community to hold an international peace conference to promote negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis on the final status issues.

The Palestinian cabinet issued an official statement saying that the PNA calls for preparing for an international peace conference, which has a clear agenda and a specific schedule for immediately starting negotiations on the final status issues.

It urged the international community to carry out its serious role and to immediately interfere, adding that the only way to reach to peace is through negotiations but not the unilateral policy.

Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei has called on Ibrahim Jambari, UN under secretary general for political affairs, to prepare for this conference during the meeting with him in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Saturday, said the statement.Enditem
