RAMALLAH, Nov. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) condemned on Thursday the killing of two members of al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, the armed wing of the ruling Fatah movement led by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, near the West Bank city of Jenin.
Chief Palestinian Negotiator Saeb Erekat condemned the killing before reporters in the West Bank city of Ramallah and blamed Israel for the death of the two Palestinians.
"I want to condemn this Israeli escalation and warn of theserious collapse of the cessation of violence between the two sides," Erekat stressed.
"I hope that the Israeli election campaign will not be marked by more Palestinian blood," he added.
The two, identified as Ahmed Abahra, 22, and Jamal Zayed, 18,were shot dead by Israeli undercover agents when they stormed the Yamoun area in the city and opened fire at their car, security sources and medics said.

Abu Adham, the spokesman of al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in Jenin,vowed painful revenge for the killing of its members, saying "thisis our duty and our destiny to fight occupation till liberating the whole homeland."
He called on all Palestinian factions to keep alert on Israel'sclear policy, saying "every time we are committed to calmness, we will witness the enemy's clear program." Enditem |
