RAMALLAH, Nov. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank city of Jenin, Palestinian sources said on Thursday.
The two, identified as Ahmed Abahra, 22, and Jamal Zayed, 18, were shot dead by Israeli undercover agents when they stormed the Yamoun area in the city, the sources said.
The two were gunned down as the undercover agents opened fire at their vehicle, the sources said.
The two belonged to al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, an armed offshoot of the ruling Fatah movement led by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, the sources said.
Jenin, a stronghold of the group, has witnessed clashes, arrests and killings since violence flared up again between Israel and the Palestinian militants.
Vowing retaliation for the killings, Abu Adham, the group's spokesman in Jenin, said the group will send more martyrs to fight occupation till all Palestinian lands are liberated from Israel. Enditem |
