Urgent: Ports ordered to prevent human infection of bird flu

    BEIJING, Nov. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) issued an emergent circular Wednesday, ordering inspectors at ports of entry and exit to step up efforts to prevent human infection of bird flu.

    The AQSIQ urged all local quality inspection and quarantine departments to carry out emergency plans on the prevention of bird flu and improve their own technical plans in accordance with local realities, according to the circular.

    Shenzhen and Zhuhai ports, in south China's Guangdong Province,should resume the temperature measuring for out-going passengers, it says.Enditem
