ISLAMABAD, Nov. 13 (Xinhuanet) -- Police in southwestern Pakistan province of Balochistan have arrested six people in connection with a car bomb attack in 2004, which killed three Chinese engineers and injured 10 other people, TV reports said Sunday.

The car bomb occurred on May 3, 2004, in the town of Gawadar in Balochistan, some 480 kilometers west of Karachi, as 12 Chinese engineers were being taken to work in a van.

Those arrested belong to a nationalist group Baloch Liberation Army, the private Aaj (today) television reported.

Police sources were quoted as saying that two of the arrested men had confessed involvement in bomb attack on Chinese engineers.

Police said that a remote control bomb and some documents were also seized from the suspects. Enditem
