RAMALLAH, Nov. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei said on Saturday that Israel's stubbornness on the status of Jerusalem foiled the Middle East peace process.

Addressing a seminar titled "Jerusalem is the key of peace and freedom" in the West Bank city of Ramallah, Qurei said that Israel's stubbornness on Jerusalem led to collapse of peace talks on the final status issues, also including borders, Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank and right of return for the Palestinian refugees.

Qurei said that the final solutions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict depends on the future of Jerusalem, adding that "Israel doesn't realize Jerusalem's importance to the Palestinians".

He asserted that Israel was not a partner of peace because of its practices in Jerusalem and the surrounding areas. Both Israel, which seized Arab East Jerusalem in 1967 war, and the Palestinians have claimed Jerusalem as their capital. Enditem
