BAGHDAD, Nov. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- UN chief Kofi Annan arrived in the Iraqi capital on an unannounced visit on Saturday, a UN source said.

Annan is expected to meet with senior Iraqi leaders, including Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, said the source.

It was Annan's first visit to Iraq since the US-led invasion of the country in March 2003.

Annan flew into Baghdad from the Jordanian capital of Amman. Enditem
