BAGHDAD, Nov. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- A car bomb went off at a busy market in a district in southeastern Baghdad on Saturday, killing at least three people and wounding 12 others, police said.

"A car parked in a popular market in Amin al-Thaniyah district detonated. Initial reports said three people were killed and 12 others wounded," a police source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

The blast also caused a huge fire in the market, the source said.

Ambulances and fire engines rushed to the scene, while US and Iraqi security forces cordoned off the area. Enditem
