TEHRAN, Nov. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Iran on Thursday condemned terrorist explosions in the Jordanian capital Amman, the official IRNA news agency reported.

    "Iran strongly condemns the blasts, which violated the most basic principles of human rights," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi was quoted as saying.

    He extended Iran's sympathy to the Jordanian government, nation and victims of the terrorist attacks and voiced indignation for "such criminal moves", saying that they proved that terrorism defied reason and ran contrary to Islamic teachings and principles of all human beings.

    Three suicide bombings rocked three hotels in Amman Wednesday night, killing at least 57 and injuring over 100.Al-Qaida branch in Iraq, led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, on Thursday claimed responsibility for the deadly suicide bombings.   Enditem
