BEIJING, Nov. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- The China National Agricultural Development Group Corp, the country's leading avian flu vaccine producer, said Tuesday its two subsidiaries capable of producing bird flu vaccines are going all out in producing the vaccine to meet the growing demand.

The two companies, one based in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province and the other in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, have manufactured 500 million doses of bird flu vaccines.

The group said it has sold 670 million doses of the vaccines across the country's 31 provincial areas with the exception of the Tibet Autonomous Region.

The group has a daily production capacity of 4 million doses, ranking first on the Chinese mainland.

There are nine plants on the Chinese mainland capable of producing the vaccines, including the a forementioned ones.

Bird flu has been reported in Anhui Province, east China, Hunan Province, central China, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, north China, and Liaoning Province, northeast China since early fall of this year. Enditem
