NEW DELHI, Nov. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- Natwar Singh was
shifted off the post of Indian Minister of External Affairs, the Prime Minister
office said Monday.
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singe has accepted the request of Natwar Singh to step down the post after a meeting
held here Monday and has written to Indian President that Natwar Singh will be
Minister Without Portfolio, said a press release issued by the Prime Minister
office.
Natwar Singh was charged by a UN report with being
involved in illegal deals under the Iraqi "Oil-for-Food" Program.
