BEIJING, Nov. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- The Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced on Monday to end the anti-dumping investigations on bisphenol A imported from Japan, Singapore, Russia, the Republic of Korea (ROK) and Taiwan.

    A bulletin posted on the ministry's website said that "At the request of Beijing-based Blue Star New Chemical Materials Co. Ltd,the ministry has decided to withdraw the anti-dumping investigations on bisphenol A imported from the above-mentioned countries and Taiwan."

    This is the second anti-dumping case that was called off by the proposer in China, the ministry said.

    But it did not say when Blue Star, a state-level new and hi-tech enterprise, filed a lawsuit against the ministry complaining about the dumping of bisphenol A by Japan, Singapore, Russia, ROK and China's Taiwan.

    The ministry has announced it was launching investigations into the case on May 12, 2004.

    Blue Star is one of China's most competitive listed companies in the stock market in the area of new chemical materials. With total assets of 2.3 billion yuan (284 million US dollars), it has four production bases spread over Jiangxi Province in east China, Wuxi and Nantong in eastern Jiangsu Province and Harbin in Heilongjiang Province, northeast China.   Enditem
