GAZA, Nov. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- The Palestinian Interior Ministry demanded all the Palestinians on Monday to give up illegal, including unlicensed arms, in a bid to restore order and security in the territories.

Interior Ministry spokesman Tawfiq Abu Khousa told reporters that the ministry and the security forces have warned militants and civilians not to hold illegal weapons that largely contributed to the prevalent chaos in the Palestinian territories.

Abu Khousa called upon Palestinians to take into consideration of the highest national interests and help the security apparatuses in stemming out lawlessness.

Two Palestinians were wounded on Sunday night when a homemade bomb accidentally exploded inside their house in the northern Gaza refugee camp of Jabalia.

Palestinian security sources said the two citizens, sustaining moderate injuries, were transferred to the Kamal Edwan Hospital inthe northern Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, a 29-year-old Palestinian was wounded when a homemade rocket fired by Palestinian militants landed by mistake at his house in the central Gaza Strip city of Deer Al-Balah late on Sunday.

Security sources said Interior Minister Nasser Youssef has issued strict instructions to all security apparatuses to defend the law and restore stability to the Palestinians after a Saturday night meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The ministry has formed special committees to reinforce security measures and punish those who violate the law, the sources added. Enditem
